The site at 2033 11th Street NW currently consists of the Christian Tabernacle Church, and a daycare with a small parking lot on the corner of 10th and V Street Northwest.

In a submission to the Historic Preservation Office on June 5th, renderings show how the plot could be transformed into a mixed-use affordable housing project. The plans detail a 65-unit apartment building consisting of studios to three-bedrooms across 7-stories. The lower floors of the building would be occupied by a 8,200 SF childhood development center and outdoor play space. The project, titled 10th and V, would be built adjacent to the existing church building.

The building will be “...cladded with vibrant shades of purple, as a nod to TheTAB's current color palette,” according to the proposal.

Beacon Communities and Soto Architecture are the developer and architecture firm heading the project, respectively.
