The newest phase of the Parks at Walter Reed master planned community has been submitted for review to the DC Historic Preservation Office.
In the conceptual preview, the developer showcases how the 7100 block of 13th Street NW will be transformed with more housing units. “The proposed project includes the construction of three 4-story condominium buildings as well as 25 3- and 4-story townhomes,” the submission stated. The townhomes would be offered fee-simple to buyers with a 2025 delivery date slated.
The parcel is located at the north end of the Parks at Walter Reed development. Formerly the site of the Army’s primary medical activities for most of the twentieth century, the Walter Reed Army Medical Center Historic District is now becoming a vibrant community.
Hines, Urban Atlantic, and Triden Development Group have been heading the project for over 10 years. BKV Group is the architect on this most recent phase of the development.
