Working America has signed a lease for office near Farragut Square, Colliers announced this week.
The organization, billed as the county's largest organization representing working people without a union, will occupy more than 14,000 square feet at 1725 Eye Street NW starting this fall.
Mark Sullivan, Matt Venos, and Cassidy May led the transaction on behalf of landlord Cafritz, while Lincoln Property Company represented the tenant.
"We're thrilled to welcome Working America and support the impactful work they do for communities across the country," said Venos in a news release. "With its prime location and ownership's significant upcoming investment in the property, 1725 Eye Street is an ideal fit."
Working America is slated to move into the building after its current tenant leaves in the fall. The overall building is set to undergo a renovation, including updates to its lobby, conference center, fitness center, and rooftop terrace.
Working America, founded in 2003, serves as the community affiliate of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO).
